Went to the Japanese Tea Gardens today to meet with April, Joe and their Family. Such a great and easy going couple, the whole time we were cracking jokes and just having a good time. The foliage around the garden and a great waterfall at stow lake made for some nice backgrounds. I can’t wait to shoot their wedding in September, I’m sure it’s going to be a blast!

Met up with a local guy on the e46fanatics forums over the weekend to shoot his alpine white e46 m3 convertible. What a clean car, such a rare color combo. I loved the stance and the HRE wheels. Decided to shoot at the Alameda Naval Base since I haven’t been there in a while.
Went out with some friends to a place in San Mateo called Espetus. Apparently its all you can eat meat. They had a salad bar there but the real deal is the MEAT. They had all kinds of cuts, top sirlon, garlic flank steak, filet mignon, mmm. They also had chicken hearts! and grilled pineapples. Afterwards we went to a friends house for a late St. Patty’s Day party.
As some of you might know, my “other” job is being the automotive photographer for East Bay BMW. We had a track night at Umigo in Livermore and it was hilarious to see all my managers smashing into each other while trying to go for gold. They even had the event catered and there was also a few people there from a local brewery with a few kegs. Drinking and driving….go karts that is. I decided to do a batch in black and white, it was fun getting these shots even though it was in the 30′s!
Met up with a friend to take a few pics of her and her pit bull mix – Yogi, the guy is huge! Well, compared to my dog anyways, and he’s barely a year old. It was quite the ordeal having a 75+lb dog trying to sit and play in your lap in the car.
There he is, wasn’t too happy at first to have someone sitting in his seat.
But he eventually warmed up, who could get mad at that face?
Trying to get Yogi to sit and look at the camera was a task in itself, he just wanted to play with everyone at the park.
Met with a nice young couple to do their engagement photos down in the SF mission district. We first went to Dolores park where it was packed with people! It was as if a concert was going on, everyone was out to have a great time. Jermelyn and Jeff were super nice, it was as if I had known them as friends for a while. We then walked around the mission district, checking out all the neat shops that they had.
Such a fun and busy wedding! It was my first one at City Hall, the place is beautiful inside. Rachael was the coolest bride, she took everyone on public transportation down to Justin Herman Plaza. She even made all the table favors and the bride and groom figurines for the cake. Everyone was super friendly and fun, colored stunner shades and pinup mustaches were everywhere!
Had a chance to shoot a wedding on a boat! Serena and Lenin were a fun couple to work with, as Lenin came out Serena surprised him with the imperial march theme music from Star Wars, which he loves. Shooting on a boat was a fun change, even though space was limited everyone had a great time dancing and enjoying the sites and we cruised around. And to answer your question, yes “I’m on a boat” was played.
Wow, the suite that Gavin & Madelyn had was amazing. It was literally the presidential suite – President Obama himself stayed in the same room when he came to visit SF. The wedding was super fun, there were tons of guests and Gavin & Madelyn even had a casino lounge set up. Gavin and Madelyn were laughing all day and loved to pose and make funny faces along with their friends. Gavin sung to Madelyn during his vows which had everyone in tears (of joy and laughter of course).

I haven’t updated this blog in a LONG time, sorry about that.
Mark and Danielle are a wonderful couple, they were so easy going and so much fun to work with. Their daughter was so cute. The weather was beautiful as well. I had to drive down hwy 1 since the annual pumpkin festival was in town but the drive was amazing along the coast.
